Profesionalna edukacija radnika na deponiji u cilju zaštite od povreda i oštećenja zdravlja

Uobičajena praksa u zemljama jugoistočne Evrope je da nisko-kvalifikovani radnici rade u sektoru upravljanja otpadom. U zemljama jugoistočne Evrope ne postoje visokoškolske ustanove koje su specijalizovane za ovu vrstu edukacije. Trebalo bi naglasiti, da ova specifična vrsta profesije, koja se bavi visokorizičnim poslovima, zahteva pravnu osnovu za adekvatno obrazovanje i obuku, kao što je to definisano za mnogobrojne druge profesije u javnom sektoru. Kompanija koja pruža obrazovanje i obuku, u skladu sa programom profesionalnog usavršavanja i bezbednosti i zdravlja na radu, za operativno osoblje u sektoru upravljanja čvrstim komunalnim otpadom imaće direktne koristi. Profesionalno usavršavanje je važno za radnike na deponiji, koji imaju najrizičnije radno mesto, ali u isto vreme i veoma važno za operativnu praksu i održivost deponije. Za ove radnike postoje sledeće fokusne tačke: Stručno usavršavanje; Bezbednost i zdravlje na radu; Zaštita od požara; Upravljanje deponijskim gasom; Upravljanje procednim vodama. Dobro definisani obrazovni programi za bezbednost i zdravlje na radu, naglašavajući mere zaštite prilikom rukovanja sa opasnim materijama i zaštitom od požara, predstavlјaju dobar način za smanjenje povreda i pobolјšanje efikasnosti zaposlenih.Reference
